Agartala at a glance
Agartala is the state capital of Tripura. It is the second largest city of North East India. Agartala is very much know for its rich culture and heritage. The cultural Dance and songs is performed in every festival of the city. The city also known for its handicrafts and handloom products. Air
The nearest Airport Agartala airport in Tripura is the nearest airport, situated at a distance of 5mins from Agartala city. This airport is connected to Kolkata and Guwahati by direct flights.

Rail
The nearest railway station is Kumarghat which is 140kms away from Tripura. The Kumarghat station is connected to the railheads of Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Chennai and Bangalore. Taxis are available near the station to reach Tripura.

Agartala is well connected through road within the state and with other state. The city Agartala is 295 Kms from Silchar, 300 Kms from Aizawl, 450 Kms from Shillong, 540 Kms from Imphal, 550 Kms from Guwahati.

Ujjayanta Palace
This royal house, which stands in the capital city Agartala covering 1(one) sq. Km. area was built by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya during 1899-1901.
It is a two storied mansion, having a mixed type of architecture with three high domes, the central one being 86’ high. The magnificent tile floor curved wooden ceiling and beautifully crafted doors are particularly notable. The palace is set with huge Mughal style gardens, beautified by pools and gardens. Flood lighting and fountains have also added to its beauty.
Visiting Hours: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Unakoti Hill
Unakoti Hill is one of the main attraction in Agartala. This is a stone carving pilgrimage place dedicated to Lord Shiva. Apart from devotion, this place has its natural beauty including Waterfalls, green trees, shrubs. The rock carvings and stone designs under protection of Archeological Survey of India.

Heritage Park
The Heritage Park, spread over twelve acre of land, is located at the centre of the city, on the northern side of Raj Bhawan on the Agartala-GBP Hospital road. This park was inaugurated on the 30th November 2012 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Tripura. Entrance to the park has an imposing gate constructed with depicting the rich tribal, nontribal mixed cultural heritage of Tripura, both tribal and non-tribal. The park has three parts, viz. (i) mini-Tripura located in about three acre of land at the entrance, (ii) central area being raised as natural forest, and (iii) a plain table land with medicinal plants, herbs and shrubs. There is a walking track of 1.1 kilometres running along the periphery of the park.

Sepahijala Wild Life Sanctuary
Sepahijala wildlife sanctuary encompasses an area of 18.54 sq. km. The sanctuary has not less than 456 plant species. Many kinds of bamboo and a variety of grasses and medicinal plants also grow in the sanctuary. It is here that one can find nearly 4500 cubic meters per hectare of timber biomass. More than 150 species of residential birds, migratory birds, orchid garden, boating facilities, wild life, botanical garden, zoo, elephant joy-rides, rubber and coffee plantations beckon the tourists all through the year. The added visual incentive for animal-lovers is the famous spectacled monkey which is now a rare species. It is closed on Thursday.

The traditional cuisine of the state of Tripura is Mui Borok as it is affectionately called by its people.
